As you may know I love learning languages so getting the chance to learn a new one is exciting for me.
Luganda is the first language of Buganda and most widely spoken of the languages indigenous to Uganda. Pronunciation is very similar to Swahili.
The only disadvantage with not knowing the language of that (the country you are visiting) country is not being able to have a conversation with someone or not being able to comfort a little one who needs loving words.
One of the pluses of not knowing the language is that when someone is trying to insult you it won’t work because you don’t know what they're saying.
But instead of talking about the advantages and disadvantage let's learn some of the language.
To start off: Greetings
Nnyabo - Woman/Madam
Ssebo - Man/Sir
Webale (Nyo) - Thank you (very much)
Kala - Welcome

Nsonyiwa - Sorry
Tula - Sit
Stuka - Stand
Jangu wano - Come here
Ganda - Go
Bambi - Please
Genda Mpola - Slow down
Mazi - Water
Neda - No

Useful Phrases:
Ova mukitundu ki? - Where are you from?
